Dinesh Phadnis, widely known as ‘Freddy’, died 5 December 2023. He was a household name thanks to his involvement in the hit TV series CID. Dayanand Shetty, his co-star on the show, verified the news. The 57-year-old actor was on life support after suffering from severe liver damage.
He was suffering from multiple organ failure, died at 12:08 a.m. on December 5 in Mumbai’s Tunga Hospital, according to reports.
Dinesh Phadnis was hospitalized 5 December, and Dayanand Shetty, who co-starred with Dinesh in the famous program ‘CID,’ has been providing updates regarding the actor’s health since then.
He rose to prominence as ‘Fredericks’ in the television series ‘CID.’ Shivaji Satam played ACP Pradyuman in the show, which he worked on for nearly two decades. ‘CID’, one of India’s longest-running television shows, premiered in 1998. Apart from his role in ‘CID,’ Dinesh Phadnis also made a brief appearance in the popular mainstream television show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.’
